Expert Advice

Millions of people are now involved in car collecting as investors look to diversify their portfolios, grow their investment and even occasionally go for a road trip.

With increasing global wealth, Family Offices are looking for a healthy return on investment, which has led to them chasing a limited number of particular vehicles. Increasing values of Collectible cars have outperformed many other asset classes, including recognised stock indices, in recent times.

Specifically, cars with historical importance - ones that pioneered new technology or raised the bar for consumer expectations have become collectable, especially if they are rare and beautiful. Racing pedigree adds to a car's allure, as can its association with a respected designer, racer or builder such as Carroll Shelby or Pininfarina. Previous celebrity ownership can also play a part, as we've seen with cars owned by Steve McQueen or Paul Newman. The most expensive collectable cars combine all these attributes.

In recent years, the car market has attracted a high number of speculators, and it's often the case that these venturers invest without sufficient knowledge, experience or time.

Unfortunately, the car industry we love is littered with unscrupulous dealers and individuals; even those in the know can get caught out when parting with significant capital.

Exceptional examples can therefore be hard to find and acquire. Over the years, we have frequently found ourselves providing advice and knowledge to clients looking to find the right car at the right price, and we're always happy to offer help and advice to anyone who may need it, whether you are a client or not.

Collection Management

Managing the fleet of vehicles can become arduous and time-consuming when building a collection, especially when you have other investments to look after.

As our client’s collections continue to expand rapidly, we've become accustomed to being involved with every aspect of building and maintaining numerous collections - large and small.

Managing a private collection can range from over the phone advice to complete management - including inspections, procurement, relocation, storage, maintenance, detailing, paint protection and disposal.

Handling particular needs is what we thrive on, and due to our set-up, we are able to assist with any request and consider it a pleasure.

Storage & Relocation

Our retail cars are kept at our secure, private storage facility in (central) London. We opted against the conventional expensive glass box set-up to provide clients with an under-the-radar, more relaxed yet hands on experience. This storage is also valuable to cater for storing our existing client's collections, allowing everything to be under one secure roof.

Storage can be provided on a short, medium, and long-term basis - regardless if you have purchased a car from us. Equipped with industrial air cleaners, our facility offers the perfect environment to store vehicles - making it significantly cleaner than outdoors or public car parks.

On arrival at our facility, a visual inspection is provided, a note is taken of the mileage, followed by a basic wash, if requested extensive detailing can be provided at an additional cost. Tyres are then inflated to 45-50 psi to avoid flat spots. The car will then be trickle charged by a battery conditioner and protected by one of our fleece-lined covers. Upon request, your car can be started and driven, as well as offered all of our collection management services.

There is only one entrance and exit, which is closed and protected with anti-ram barriers and steel shutters. The facility is also monitored by CCTV, both externally and internally.

We regularly ship cars worldwide and maintain strong relationships with the leading international specialist in car transportation. Depending on your requirements, relocation can be arranged by air, ship or road. It's our duty to ensure that whilst your car is out of your sight; it's given the best possible care and attention throughout the transportation process, providing a safe and secure arrival at its destination in perfect condition. All road transport is conducted in specialist, covered trailers or transporters.

Detailing &
Protection

We offer a full spectrum of services for the protection, preservation and ongoing care of the exterior and interior of your car.

Car paintwork is extremely sensitive to surface scratches and marring from even the most routine of tasks, such as regular cleaning and washing. Our in-house detailing team are experts at eliminating scratches and swirl marks to restore paintwork back to its original or even better state.
Interiors are naturally susceptible to regular wear too, and over time, with frequent use, will show signs of ageing. As tough and durable as leather can be, it's still likely to suffer from problems which can be fixed at an affordable cost compared to renewal. We have a strong working relationship with one of two of the last surviving Connoly leather-trained renovation specialists in the world, who can restore, renovate and repair any leather upholstery.

Paint protection film is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the automotive protection industry. PPF, as its widely known, is a clear protective film made from polyurethane with adhesives on one side and clear coat on the other. It's the safest way to protect your prized possession from various types of damage encountered when driving or when the car is parked outside. When it comes to installation, we are meticulous about fitting so that it is invisible - in most cases, the film is pre-cut from a custom template, so there is no need to trim it directly on the car.

Finally, ceramic coatings are also a great way to protect your paintwork from unwanted elements through their hydrophobic properties and can improve the condition of the exterior of your car for more extended periods of time between washes. Short of having your car PPF'd, ceramic coating is worth considering for an added layer of protection for your paintwork.

Finance

Financing can be an intelligent alternative to a cash purchase. We have close relationships with some of the UK's leading lenders and specialist brokers to offer suitable and competitive vehicle finance solutions. Help can also be provided if you wish to raise capital against a car you own.

Each deal is bespoke to your needs and we would be happy to have a further discussion if this is something you are considering.
